Gaza: Doctors Without Borders (M©decins Sans Fronti¨res) announced today the suspension of its operations in Gaza City due to the escalating Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the organization said its decision came after Israeli forces surrounded its clinics, leaving no possibility of continuing activities. The suspension of operations by the organization highlights a critical situation on the ground, where the needs are significant, especially among vulnerable groups.
The organization emphasized that the suspension comes at a crucial time, given the immense needs in Gaza. Among those most affected are newborns in intensive care units and patients with severe injuries or life-threatening illnesses who are unable to move and remain at great risk.
