Ramallah:The Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission (CWRC) has documented 21 attacks by Israeli occupation forces and colonists against Palestinian farmers across six governorates within a 12-hour period on Friday, from 600 a.m. to 600 p.m.
According to Palestine news & Information Agency – WAFA – English, the attacks included a range of aggressive actions such as injuries to farmers, shootings, burning and cutting down of olive trees, theft of crops, and obstructing farmers' access to their lands by force.
In the Ramallah and al-Bireh Governorate, colonists reportedly burned and cut down numerous olive trees in the al-Qibla area of Burqa village. Civil Defense crews were unable to access the area due to restrictions imposed by occupation forces and colonists. Other attacks in the region included assaults on olive harvesters in Sinjil, Turmus Ayya, and Marj Si'a, along with the theft of olives from Palestinian-owned lands in Silwad and the release of livestock into olive-planted areas in Kafr Malik.
In the Nablus Governorate, colonists threw stones at olive harvesters in Burin town, resulting in injuries to three farmers, including a 17-year-old boy who suffered a head injury. Additional casualties were treated for tear gas inhalation. Colonists fired live ammunition in Osarin to drive farmers from their lands, while occupation forces used tear gas canisters, igniting several olive trees in Salem and Beit Furik towns.
Bethlehem Governorate witnessed the detention of the al-Qassas family by occupation forces on their land adjacent to the Israeli colony of Eli'azar, who were then forcibly removed at gunpoint. Elsewhere, farmers and foreign solidarity activists were expelled from Wadi Abu Nujeim, and livestock released by colonists in al-Maniya caused damage to olive trees.
In Salfit, colonists, under military protection, pursued olive harvesters and foreign activists in Wadi Yasuf, threatening them to abandon their lands. Meanwhile, in Jenin Governorate, occupation forces closed access gates, preventing Barta'a farmers from reaching lands behind the separation wall.
Israeli forces in Qalqilya expelled farmers from olive groves and arrested harvesters in Kafr Qaddum's al-Jabal area. Farmers in Immatin were also forced to abandon their lands, halting the olive harvest.
The CWRC highlighted that the escalating attacks are systematically targeting Palestinians' agricultural activities, linking them to Israel's broader policy of forced expulsion and settler-colonialism. They emphasized that these actions are coordinated and not isolated incidents, and warned that continued unaccountable attacks could lead to the long-term displacement of farmers. The CWRC urged the international community to intervene and ensure protection for Palestinian farmers.
