Salfit:Colonists have vandalized dozens of olive trees in the western area of the town of Deir Ballut, west of Salfit, and have been patrolling the area to prevent farmers from accessing their lands.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, similar incidents occurred in the northern area of the town of Kafr ad-Dik, where colonists stole olives and damaged several trees.
These attacks are part of a wider trend of escalating assaults by colonists on farmers and their lands, particularly timed with the olive harvest season.
A report from the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission indicates that since October 7, 2023, there have been a total of 62,916 attacks by occupation forces and colonists against Palestinian citizens, their lands, and property in the West Bank, including Jerusalem. Out of these, 48,174 were committed by the occupation army, while settlers were responsible for 14,742 attacks.
The Hebron governorate recorded the highest number of attacks with 10,840 incidents, followed by Ramallah and Al-Bireh with 10,594, Nablus with 10,261, and Jerusalem with 7,315 attacks.
