Jenin: Israeli colonists, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, stormed on Sunday evening the site of an evacuated colonial settlement outpost south of Jenin Governorate, according to local sources.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, sources said that buses carrying colonists, escorted by Israeli soldiers and military vehicles, stormed the site of an evacuated colonial settlement outpost, known as the former Sanur colony, near the town of Jaba', south of Jenin. This site was previously evacuated in 2005 and is now being prepared for marking the Hanukkah holiday.
Israeli occupation authorities approved last May the establishment of 22 new colonies in the occupied Palestinian Territory. This includes the re-establishment of the Homesh and Tarsala-Sanur colonies in the Jenin Governorate, signaling ongoing tensions in the region.
