Gaza: Israeli colonists stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied Jerusalem on Thursday, under the protection of Israeli occupation police.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Jerusalem Governorate reported that dozens of colonists, led by extremist settler leader Yehuda Glick, stormed the eastern area opposite the Dome of the Rock. The colonists performed Talmudic rituals in the courtyards of the mosque, an act that has previously escalated tensions in the region.
The Al-Aqsa Mosque is a site of significant religious importance, and incidents such as these often lead to heightened tensions. The presence of Israeli police providing protection to the colonists has also been a point of contention.
