Colonists Set Fire to Agricultural Lands and Olive Trees Near Salfit

Salfit:On Monday, colonists ignited agricultural land and several olive trees in the "Al-Badoun" area, which is part of the village of Iskaka, located east of Salfit.

According to Palestine news & Information Agency – WAFA – English, this incident is part of a broader pattern of escalating violence by colonists across the region. The colonists have obstructed several key intersections and roads leading to Salfit and have been widely present in the Wadi al-Sha'er area, a crucial link between the city and the town of Al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya. This has further restricted the movement of Palestinian residents and hindered farmers' access to their lands.

In a related report, the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission disclosed that Israeli occupation forces and colonists executed 3,133 attacks on Palestinian residents, their lands, and property during October. Out of these, colonists were responsible for 1,369 attacks, marking a 111.6% increase from September. The Commission highlighted that these attacks led to the destruction of at least 5,890 trees, including 4,498 olive trees. Specifically, 69 trees were damaged in the Salfit Governorate. Additionally, between October 1 and October 21, there were 91 documented attacks targeting the olive harvest season within the Salfit Governorate, out of a total of 409 such incidents across the West Bank.
