Gaza: Colonists set fire to agricultural land in Jiljilyya village, north of Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate, according to a local official.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Osama Nazmi, head of the Jiljilyya Village Council, reported that the fire was set in the Al-Batin area, located east of the village. Civil Defense crews responded promptly to the incident and managed to bring the blaze under control.
Nazmi stated that the affected land is owned by residents of Jiljilyya, as well as the nearby towns of Sinjil and Al-Mazra'a Ash-Sharqiya. He further mentioned that colonists had established an outpost in the area approximately a year ago, during which they had also taken over homes belonging to residents of Al-Mazra'a Ash-Sharqiya.
