Khirbet samra: Colonists began fencing off approximately 1,500 dunams of land in the Khirbet Samra area of the northern Jordan Valley on Sunday, according to Mahdi Daraghmeh, head of the al-Maleh village council.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Daraghmeh explained that the targeted land was legally owned and registered, and was previously inhabited by six Palestinian families from the al-Masa'id clan. These families were forced to leave a year ago due to ongoing attacks from colonists.
WAFA correspondent noted that this move is part of a series of actions by colonists to fence off hundreds of thousands of dunams of agricultural and grazing land in the northern Jordan Valley in recent months. This directly impacts the lives and livelihoods of Palestinian farmers.
The agricultural sector in the northern Jordan Valley is witnessing an escalation in colonists' attacks, exacerbating the economic and social suffering of residents and landowners.
