Colonists Establish New Outpost on Palestinian Land North of Ramallah

Nablus: Israeli colonists established a new colonial outpost on the lands of Umm Safa village, northwest of Ramallah, on Sunday morning. Umm Safa village council head Marwan Sabbah reported that a group of colonists raided the Wadi al-Zaytoun area south of the village and set up tents there. The area covers approximately 4,000 dunums of land.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Sabbah stated that colonists have recently established additional colonial outposts in the areas of Jabal al-Ras, between the villages of Umm Safa and Jibiya, and near the neighboring village of Deir al-Sudan. He added that Umm Safa has become completely isolated from the outside world, with nearly all Palestinian-owned land in the village taken over, leaving only the areas where residents' homes have been built.

The establishment of the outpost comes amid an ongoing expansion of Israeli colonial outposts across the occupied West Bank, accompanied by increased restrictions on Palestinian access to their lands.
