Colonists Destroy Water Network in Al-Maniya Village Near Bethlehem

Nablus: Israeli colonists destroyed a water network in Al-Maniya village, southeast of Bethlehem, on Sunday. Al-Maniya village council head Ahmad Kawazbeh reported that a group of colonists stormed the Al-Qarn area west of the village and destroyed the water network. They attacked residents who attempted to repair the damage by throwing stun grenades at them, with no injuries reported.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Kawazbeh noted that attacks by Israeli colonists on the village have escalated recently. These attacks include assaults on Palestinian homes and residents, attempted vehicle attacks, and allowing livestock to graze on Palestinian-owned lands.

The attack on the water network is part of a broader increase in Israeli colonist violence across the occupied West Bank. The Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission reported that colonists carried out 3,488 attacks during the first half of this year. These incidents included assaults on Palestinian villages and residents, arson attacks on homes, shootings, the establishment of colonial outposts, land seizures, and attacks on roads and Palestinian vehicles.
