Hebron: Israeli colonists destroyed four residential caravans and tin houses east of the town of Sa’ir in the occupied West Bank city of Hebron today as they stormed the houses and forced the families to leave them before vandalizing them and destroying their contents.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the colonists’ attack took place in the Jourat al-Khail area, located east of Sa’ir, where they stormed residential complexes that include several families, completely destroyed four residential caravans, and forcibly expelled the residents from them.
Ahmed Muhammad al-Shalaldeh, a local resident of the area, said that the colonists stormed the caravans and tin houses violently, which caused panic among the families present, as they were forced to leave their homes that contained all their basic belongings.
He pointed out that the colonists deliberately vandalized the caravans and destroyed their contents, with the aim of leaving the families homeless.
Al-Shalaldeh explained that th
is attack is not the first of its kind, as the residents of Jourat al-Khayl, who belong to the families of al-Tarad and al-Kawazbeh, are subjected to continuous attacks by settlers supported by the occupation forces.
He added that these attacks include night raids on their homes, vandalism of crops and destruction of crops, and the pursuit of shepherds in an attempt to prevent them from grazing their sheep in the area, noting that the colonists’ attacks are considered part of the Israeli efforts to impose a state of intimidation and pressure on civilians and farmers to force them to leave their lands.
Al-Shalaldeh confirmed that the residents recently organized a night guard committee to confront the repeated threats from armed colonists who have begun to storm residential areas on an ongoing basis.
