Salfit:Colonists chased and attacked Palestinian olive pickers and foreign activists in Wadi Yasuf, also known as al-Wad al-Ahmar, near the town of Jamma'in, east of Salfit, on Thursday. The assault forced the pickers and activists to leave the area without their olive harvest, as reported by local sources.
According to Palestine news & Information Agency – WAFA – English, the foreign activists were accompanying the olive pickers when the colonists initiated the attack, leading to a forced retreat from the valley and the abandonment of the harvest.
Palestinian olive pickers in the region frequently face daily attacks by colonists, which occur under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.
