Tubas: Colonists on Friday evening attacked Palestinian citizens in the Safah Tayasir area, northeast of Tubas, according to local sources.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, a group of colonists, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, attacked residents in Safah Tayasir and opened fire on them.
The attack comes in the wake of a violent incident carried out by colonists at dawn on Thursday. During this earlier assault, four Palestinian citizens were injured after being severely beaten. Additionally, colonists set up a caravan, marking the beginning of a new colonial outpost near the homes of Palestinian residents in the area.
The Safah Tayasir area is inhabited by several Palestinian families who depend on livestock farming for their livelihood. Recently, more families have taken refuge in the area after being forcibly displaced from the al-Burj community in the northern Jordan Valley, amidst ongoing harassment by colonists.
