Tulkarm: Colonists attacked farmers on Thursday morning while they were picking olives on their lands in the village of Shofa, southeast of Tulkarm. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, farmer Tahseen Hamed reported that a group of colonists from the Avnei Hefetz colony, which is built on the village's lands, and the pastoral outpost to the west of it, attacked the farmers at gunpoint under the protection of the occupation forces. The farmers were forced to leave their lands during the incident. Hamed added that the colonists fired live ammunition to intimidate the farmers, chasing them from one area to another. The colonists claimed that the land belonged to them and not the Palestinians, threatening the farmers not to return. He emphasized that these lands were planted with ancient olive trees long before the occupation's presence. It is noteworthy that farmers in Shofa face almost daily harassment by colonists. These incidents include attacks during olive picking, destruction of a gricultural tools, and seizures, all in an attempt to displace them from their lands.
