Hebron: A Palestinian man, his wife, and their son were injured on Wednesday evening after being assaulted by Israeli colonists northeast of Hebron, according to local sources.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Faisal al-Qawasmi, a Palestinian citizen, informed their correspondent that a group of colonists attacked his father, mother, and brother while they were on their land adjacent to Route 60. The attack resulted in head injuries and multiple bruises across their bodies, necessitating their transfer to a hospital for treatment.
In recent years, human rights groups and international organizations have documented a sharp rise in attacks by armed colonists against Palestinian residents, farmland, homes, and vehicles. These assaults often take place under the protection of Israeli forces, who frequently restrict Palestinian movement while colonists carry out attacks.
Hebron and its surrounding villages are among the areas most affected, with communities facing repeated assaults, land takeovers, and harassment intended to force them away from their property. Local residents report that the violence has escalated further since late 2023, with colonists acting with greater impunity and expanding outposts deeper into Palestinian land.
