Colonists Assault Palestinian Citizen and Damage Vehicles in Hebron Region

Hebron: A Palestinian citizen sustained bruises on Monday night after being assaulted by colonists in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, while others attacked Palestinian citizens' vehicles with stones east of the governorate.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, anti-colonization activist Osama Makhmareh reported that colonists physically assaulted activist Sami Al-Huraini in Khirbet Al-Fakhit in Masafer Yatta, resulting in bruises. Makhmareh also noted that other colonists set up a tent in the Tel Ma'in area in the town of Yatta and destroyed a fence surrounding lands owned by the Makhmareh and Jabarin families.

WAFA correspondent detailed that armed colonists from the Kiryat Arba colony, illegally built on Palestinian citizens' lands east of Hebron, hurled stones at citizens' vehicles under the protection of Israeli occupation soldiers. Fortunately, no injuries were reported from these attacks.

In a separate incident, WAFA correspondent reported that occupation forces fired stun grenades and tear gas canisters at citizens at Hanina roundabout, south of the town of Dura. Additionally, a military checkpoint was set up near the junction of At-Tabaqa village, southwest of Hebron.
