Central Elections Commission Launches 423 Voter Registration Centers Across West Bank

West bank: The Central Elections Commission (CEC) announced today the opening of 423 field centers for voter registration located within local authorities and CEC's District Electoral Offices across the West Bank.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the centers are strategically distributed among 420 local authorities and will operate daily from 9 am to 2 pm, including Fridays and Saturdays. This schedule aims to facilitate the voter registration process and allow modifications to voters' data.

The CEC's press release highlighted that the centers at District Electoral Offices are specifically designed to cater to exceptional cases. This includes citizens from the Gaza Strip residing in the West Bank, holders of Jerusalemite IDs, and those registering on behalf of relatives or by proxy. Additionally, voters can change their voting address.

For local authorities, the registration centers will focus on enrolling new voters, switching polling centers, and updating existing voter data. The registration process will be available online and in-person, continuing until the evening of Saturday, January 24, 2026. Subsequently, the voter registry will be exhibited for any challenges from February 7-9, 2026, followed by the nomination stage from February 23 to March 1, 2026.

The CEC stressed the significance of citizens adhering to these timelines to ensure accurate data registration, as this is essential for both nomination and voting.
