La Paz: Bolivia Wednesday strongly denounced the resumption of Israeli occupation’s aerial attacks and bombardment on the Gaza Strip. The Bolivian government affirmed that the occupation’s aggression on the Gaza Strip is a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law. It also expressed its rejection of the blockade imposed on the Strip.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the Ministry further called for the need to restore access to water and electricity, and immediately lift obstacles to the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza. It emphasized that these measures exacerbate the crisis and constitute unacceptable collective punishment against the Palestinian people.
The Bolivian government called for an immediate cessation of the Israeli aggression and a return to a permanent ceasefire as the only means of ensuring security. It also affirmed its support for the two-state solution, based on the principles of mutual respect, sovereignty, and the right of the Palestinian people to
self-determination.
The Bolivian government also called on the international community, the United Nations, and human rights organizations to take urgent and immediate measures to halt these violations and bring those responsible for war crimes against humanity to justice. Israel unilaterally ended the Gaza ceasefire agreement and resumed its aggression on the Strip, carrying out a wave of bloody airstrikes on five Gaza municipalities and killing hundreds of Palestinians, including over 100 children.
The death toll topped 412 with more than 564 others wounded, according to the Palestinian health ministry. Emergency teams are attempting to recover victims still trapped beneath the rubble.
