Cairo: Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Nabil Fahmy, issued a stern warning regarding Israel's approach to altering realities on the ground within the occupied Palestinian Territory, as reported by the Palestine News and Info Agency (WAFA) and cited by Egypt Today. According to Nam News Network, Fahmy expressed strong disapproval of Israel's strategy, which involves employing military force to impose a fait accompli and expand its territorial claims. He highlighted that the ongoing military actions against civilians and infrastructure in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank, along with repeated violations involving Lebanon and Syria, are part of a perilous continuation of policies that threaten regional stability. Fahmy further elaborated that such expansion of military force and the infringement of Arab states' sovereignty will not secure safety or stability for Israel. Instead, he cautioned that these measures would only heighten tensions, enlarge the spectrum of confrontation, and en danger the region's overall security. The Secretary-General underscored the necessity of respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Arab states, ceasing attacks on Lebanon and Syria, and ending the occupation of Arab territories, with a particular focus on the Palestinian Territory. He reiterated that achieving enduring peace and stability hinges on strict compliance with UN resolutions and international law, as well as the creation of an independent Palestinian state based on the June 4, 1967 boundaries, with East Jerusalem designated as its capital.
