Israeli Forces Enforce Stricter Measures in Hebron’s Old City

Hebron:Israeli occupation forces intensified their military measures and closures in the Old City of Hebron on Friday evening.

According to Palestine news & Information Agency – WAFA – English, activist Aref Jaber, a resident of the Jaber neighborhood near the Ibrahimi Mosque, reported that Israeli forces closed several neighborhoods in the Old City, including Jaber, Salaymeh, Wadi al-Nasara, Wadi al-Hussein, and Tel Rumeida.

Jaber noted that the Israeli forces increased their presence throughout the Old City and at military checkpoints between neighborhoods. This action prevented residents from accessing or leaving their homes, justified by the pretext of Jewish holidays and the arrival of colonists at the Ibrahimi Mosque.

The Old City has long been subject to a severe siege, worsening the plight of its Palestinian residents, who face restrictions on entering and leaving their homes, limited to specific hours by Israeli forces.

Local sources mentioned that Israeli forces raided the home of Adel al-Saeed in the restricted area of Tel Rumeida. Concurrently, colonists carried out provocative tours through the neighborhoods of Hebron's Old City and around residents' homes.
