Israeli Forces Seize 9 Dunums in Northern Jordan Valley for Military Road Construction

Baku:Khirbet al-Hadidiya The Israeli occupation forces have issued a military order to seize approximately 9 dunums of privately-owned Palestinian land in Khirbet al-Hadidiya, located in the Northern Jordan Valley. The land is to be used for constructing a military road in the area.

According to Palestine news & Information Agency – WAFA – English, Moataz Bisharat, responsible for the settlements file in the Tubas Governorate, detailed that the targeted lands are situated in Basin 228 (part of plot 6), Basin 230 (parts of plots 47, 49, and 50), and Basin 234 (parts of plots 5 and 9).

This action is part of a broader policy by the occupation forces aimed at expanding control over the Northern Jordan Valley by seizing Palestinian land and constructing military infrastructure. Such measures are reported to isolate Palestinian communities, limit residents' movement, and impede their access to agricultural lands.

In early November 2025, a military order was similarly issued to seize hundreds of dunums of land in the same area, followed by land-clearing operations. Subsequently, settlers began establishing an illegal colonial outpost. The region, including Khirbet al-Hadidiya, is frequently targeted by such actions, which include land clearing, fencing, harassment of herders, and restricting Palestinians from accessing their grazing and agricultural lands.
