Hebron:Israeli occupation forces detained a Palestinian man who was the victim of a colonist assault in Khirbet Quwaweis, located in the Masafer Yatta area, south of Hebron.
According to Palestine news & Information Agency – WAFA – English, the incident occurred on Wednesday when colonists reportedly entered the area surrounding the man's dwelling, assaulted him, and vandalized his belongings, which included agricultural tools and equipment.
The activist Osama Makhamreh provided details of the event, stating that after the assault, Israeli occupation forces arrived and detained the assaulted man. This incident is part of a broader pattern of violence by colonists against Palestinians and their properties in the West Bank, which includes acts such as arsons, stone-throwing, and destruction of crops, yet these acts are seldom prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
Currently, approximately one million Israeli colonists reside in colonies across the West Bank and East Jerusalem, which is considered a violation of international law.
