Yafa an-Naseriyye:A young Palestinian citizen of Israel was killed on Sunday night in a shooting in the Arab town of Yafa an-Naseriyye, located in the 1948 Territories. This incident has occurred amid growing Palestinian frustration over what they perceive as Israeli police complicity and their failure to address the increasing crime rates.
According to Palestine news & Information Agency – WAFA – English, the victim has been identified as Yousef Masarwa.
The killing of Masarwa has raised the number of crime and violence victims in Arab communities within the 1948 Territories to 169 this year alone. The spike in violence has led to accusations against the Israeli police, with claims of negligence and complicity with organized crime, and an overall failure to ensure the safety and security of Arab citizens.
