Israeli Forces Enforce Gate Closures in Jenin Region

Jenin:Israeli occupation forces closed iron gates today at the entrances to several towns and villages along the bypass road east of Jenin and in towns south of the governorate, disrupting the movement of Palestinian residents.

According to Palestine news & Information Agency – WAFA – English, local sources reported that the closures affected the towns of Ya'bad, Arraba, Kafrit, and Marka. These measures are part of ongoing efforts to restrict the movement of the local population.

The closure of these gates has obstructed residents' ability to access their towns, villages, and surrounding lands, compelling them to use rough, unpaved dirt roads instead. In recent times, 26 iron gates have been installed by occupation forces at various village and town entrances across the Jenin Governorate, as part of broader movement restrictions on the Palestinian people.
