Israeli Forces Tighten Restrictions and Close Checkpoints Northwest of Ramallah

Ramallah:Israeli occupation forces have implemented a series of checkpoint closures and heightened restrictions northwest of Ramallah, causing significant disruptions to local traffic and movement.

According to Palestine news & Information Agency – WAFA – English, the closures include the Nabi Saleh gate and the Atara checkpoint, with additional military measures enforced at the Aboud checkpoint. These actions have resulted in severe traffic congestion as Palestinians undergo stringent searches, forcing many to take lengthy detours.

The Nabi Saleh gate is a crucial access point for the village of Nabi Saleh and the western Bani Zeid villages, including Beit Rima, Deir Ghassana, Kafr Ein, and Qarawat Bani Zeid, as well as Salfit city and its surrounding villages. The closure of this gate significantly obstructs movement between these areas.

In addition to these closures, Israeli forces have increased restrictions at the Ein Sinya checkpoint. The ongoing military measures continue to obstruct entry and exit in towns and villages northwest of Ramallah, complicating residents' travel and access to workplaces.
