Azzun:Residents of Azzun, a town situated east of Qalqilya, staged a protest on Monday against the closure of their main entrance by Israeli occupation forces.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the demonstration included international solidarity activists and residents from nearby villages and towns. The protestors carried signs denouncing the occupation's restrictions, which they argue severely disrupt their daily lives by restricting access to workplaces, educational institutions, and healthcare services.
The protestors demanded the immediate reopening of the town's main entrance and the cessation of measures they believe exacerbate their hardships and limit their freedom of movement. The closure, in place since October 2023, has led to increased military presence, with checkpoints established at secondary entrances, forcing residents to take longer routes for their daily activities, further increasing their difficulties.
