Ramallah:The European Union denounced recent attacks by colonists in the West Bank, including incidents targeting European diplomats in Ramallah.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA – English, Kaja Kallas, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, called for accountability for those responsible for the attacks. She stressed the need for measures to prevent violence and harassment against Palestinians, particularly during the olive harvest season, as well as attacks on journalists.
Kallas also urged Israeli authorities to adhere to international humanitarian and human rights laws and to stop settlement expansion. A recent incident involved colonists in Taybeh, east of Ramallah, who attacked diplomatic vehicles from European missions. The colonists, masked and armed with clubs, assaulted delegations as they were leaving the village.
