Israeli Forces Raid and Shut Down Cultural Center in Al-Ramadin

Al-Ramadin:Israeli forces, along with groups of colonists, raided the Al-Hurriya Center for Culture and Folk Arts in Al-Ramadin, south of the Hebron Governorate, and shut it down.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the Israeli forces entered the center, removed and confiscated the Palestinian flag, searched books in the library, and took the ID card of the center's director, Ahmed Afheid Zagharna, before departing.

The Ministry of Culture condemned the raid and closure, stating that targeting cultural institutions and their staff violates the right to cultural activity and freedom of expression. They described the action as an effort to weaken the role of these institutions in preserving national identity and supporting the resilience of local residents, particularly in targeted areas.

The Ministry expressed its support for the Al-Hurriya Center and its staff, committing to continue backing Palestinian cultural institutions and documenting violations against the cultural sector.
