Tulkarm:The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the escalating crimes committed by Israeli occupation forces and colonists against Palestinian farmers across the occupied West Bank.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the Ministry highlighted a recent attack on olive harvesters between Burqa and the Ramin Plain, east of Tulkarm. This incident resulted in the death of 44-year-old Ali Hassan Yasser al-Bazari and injuries to over 20 others, with several sustaining serious gunshot wounds.
The Ministry stated that the systematic targeting of unarmed Palestinian civilians and farmers during the olive harvest season, including attacks with live ammunition and beatings, constitutes full-fledged war crimes. It also reported incidents where Palestinian ambulance crews were assaulted, with three paramedics and a volunteer detained, ambulance keys seized, and crews forced to leave the area.
The Ministry warned of the dangers posed by the continuation and escalation of these crimes against the Palestinian people, their property, and their agricultural lands, particularly during the olive harvest.
The Ministry urged the international community to fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities by providing international protection for the Palestinian people. It called for measures to end the crimes and hold those responsible accountable, to dismantle the system of settler colonialism and terrorism, and to ensure Palestinian farmers' rights to access and protect their lands, ultimately aiming to end the Israeli occupation of the State of Palestine, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
