Ramallah:The Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission has reported that colonist attacks between Ramallah and Nablus are increasing pressures on the Palestinian countryside. These attacks are making it more dangerous and costly for Palestinians to access land, engage in farming, and graze livestock.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the commission issued a statement Wednesday evening indicating that these repeated attacks are being used as a tool to undermine land usage and create conditions favorable to the expansion of colonization.
The commission highlighted that the attacks exert pressure differently depending on the area. In rural regions, they disrupt the relationship with the land and threaten sources of livelihood. In Jerusalem, the attacks impact Palestinian presence within the urban environment and daily life.
Despite varying impacts in different locations, the commission noted that the attacks collectively restrict movement, exhaust livelihoods, and undermine security. This situation reinforces an environment of coercion and displacement, while facilitating the seizure of land.
