Israeli Colonists Attack Palestinian Students in Huwara

Huwara:Israeli colonists attacked Palestinian students this morning as they made their way to school in the town of Huwara, located south of Nablus.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the attack led to the students and their families confronting the colonists in response.

This incident occurs within a broader context of increasing colonist violence in the occupied West Bank. Reports from the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) indicate that over 1,600 colonist attacks, resulting in Palestinian casualties or property damage, were documented between January and August 2026. These attacks affected 275 Palestinian communities, with an average of 6.7 attacks per day, up from five per day in 2025.

The number of communities impacted in the first eight months of 2026 was nearly equal to the 279 communities affected throughout all of 2025.
