Israeli Forces Install New Gate in Hebron’s Old City

Hebron:Israeli occupation forces have installed a new iron gate in the al-Zahid area of the Old City of Hebron, which can be opened and closed as needed.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the installation of this gate is part of ongoing measures by the occupation forces to tighten the siege on the Old City. Hebron Mayor Yousef al-Jaabari stated that these actions are further restricting residents' movement and reinforcing control over the Old City and the Ibrahimi Mosque.

The al-Zahid area is crucial as it connects several neighborhoods and streets within the Old City, serving as a key access point to the Ibrahimi Mosque. In response to these developments, the municipality has called on international and human rights organizations to take urgent action to stop these measures and to address the colonial plans targeting Hebron and its Old City.
