Tulkarm:Farmers in the village of Ramin, east of Tulkarm, were assaulted by Israeli colonists on Sunday while harvesting olives. The colonists stole harvested olives, farming equipment, and beat one farmer.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, witnesses reported that the colonists attacked the Sonjok family, forcing them off their land and taking their olives, ladders, and sheets used for harvesting.
Farmer Mujeer al-Din Sonjok suffered physical assault, resulting in bruises and contusions across his body, and his mobile phone was smashed during the confrontation.
This incident is part of a broader campaign targeting Palestinian farmers during the olive harvest season. The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) noted over 1,600 attacks by Israeli settlers, causing casualties or property damage, in 275 West Bank communities from January to August 2026, averaging 6.7 attacks per day.
