Jerusalem:Nabil Abu Rudeineh, the official spokesperson for the Palestinian Presidency, has issued a warning about the increasing systematic Israeli actions against occupied Jerusalem and its holy sites.
According to Palestine news and Information Agency, Abu Rudeineh criticized the continuous incursions by extremist settlers and occupation government ministers into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, which have persisted for three consecutive days. He described these actions as a failed attempt to establish a new reality that does not grant any legitimacy to the occupation.
Abu Rudeineh further stated that these provocative incursions violate the existing historical and legal status quo. He accused the occupation government of trying to impose a fait accompli policy that targets the identity of Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian holy sites.
He reiterated that such practices will not alter the fact that East Jerusalem is occupied Palestinian territory. The Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, covering an area of 144 dunams, remains the exclusive right of Muslims and is not subject to division or partnership.
Abu Rudeineh placed full responsibility on the Israeli occupation government for the dangerous consequences of these policies, which he warned could lead to further tension and conflict in the region.
He concluded by emphasizing that Israeli measures will not grant any rights or legitimacy in occupied Jerusalem and will not succeed in undermining the Palestinians' inalienable right to Jerusalem as the capital of their independent state.
