Colonists Accused of Olive Theft and Vandalism in Palestinian Villages

Ramallah:Colonists reportedly stole olive harvests from lands in the village of Umm Safa, northwest of Ramallah, on Monday.

According to Palestine news andInformation Agency, local sources stated that colonists stormed lands in the Wadi al-Zaytoun area and took the olives. This incident is part of a series of similar events occurring during the olive harvest season.

Earlier the same day, olives were also stolen from lands in the towns of Sinjil and Turmus Ayya, north of Ramallah. Additionally, colonists allegedly set fire to a vehicle belonging to Ahmad Shahada in the village of Deir Abu Mash'al, northwest of Ramallah.

These incidents coincide with the beginning of the olive harvest season, a time when Palestinian farmers often face challenges such as the theft of olives, the destruction of trees, and the confiscation of crops. These actions appear to be attempts to prevent farmers from accessing and working on their lands.
