Israeli Colonists Vandalize Property in Rantis Near Ramallah

Rantis:Israeli colonists vandalized property in Rantis, a town west of Ramallah, early Friday morning, as reported by local sources.

According to Palestine news & Information Agency, the colonists entered the town at around 3 a.m., setting fire to three vehicles. The Palestinian residents confronted the colonists, which resulted in the colonists leaving the scene, but not before causing partial damage to the vehicles.

In addition to the vehicle arsons, the vandals spray-painted racist graffiti on the walls of several homes. Such acts of violence by colonists against Palestinians and their property are described as routine in the West Bank and are seldom prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

The violence perpetrated by colonists includes not only property damage and mosque arsons but also incidents of stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes. There are approximately 1 million Israeli colonists residing in colonies across the West Bank and East Jerusalem, which are considered illegal under international law.
