Hebron: Armed Israeli colonists today attacked Palestinian farmers and assaulted them in Wadi al-Shennar area of Halhul town, north of Hebron. The incident occurred as the farmers were trying to access their lands in the region.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, a group of armed colonists, protected by Israeli occupation forces, attacked and assaulted the farmers, detaining several of them and subjecting them to mistreatment. The attack took place as the farmers attempted to reach their lands in Wadi al-Shennar, east of Halhul.
The area is considered at risk of colonial expansion and has been repeatedly targeted by colonist attacks. These attacks have included theft and destruction of agricultural crops, uprooting and breaking of fruit trees, as well as demolition of structures and leveling of Palestinian-owned land.
