Hebron: Israeli occupation forces today detained six Palestinians following an attack by Israeli colonists, while another group of colonists damaged 50 olive trees in the Masafer Yatta region. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, activist Osama Makhamreh reported that a group of armed colonists attacked several Palestinians and blocked their passage in the Khirbet Khallet al-Hummus hamlet, south of Yatta town. Subsequently, Israeli forces raided the area and detained six Palestinians, including two brothers from the al-Haddar family, as well as several others from the al-Masri family.
Makhamreh further mentioned that another group of colonists, under the protection of Israeli forces, attacked the family of Fadel al-Haddar. They attempted to force the family out of a makeshift shelter where they had been residing after the demolition of their home by Israeli forces the previous day.
In a related incident, a group of colonists damaged more than 50 olive trees belonging to local Palestinian citizens in the Khirbet Jinba hamlet, within the Masafer Yatta area. The damage occurred after colonists released their livestock into fields owned by Palestinians.
Additionally, in the al-Arroub refugee camp, north of Hebron, Israeli forces established a military checkpoint at the entrance. Palestinians passing through the checkpoint were subjected to harassment and mistreatment by the forces.
