Gaza: Israeli forces on Wednesday leveled agricultural land and uprooted olive trees in the town of Deir Abu Da'if, east of Jenin, affecting an estimated 250 dunams, after notifying the landowners.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Tareq Ighbariyeh, who oversees the settlement affairs portfolio in Jenin Governorate, reported that Israeli bulldozers initiated the leveling of agricultural land and the uprooting of olive trees as part of ongoing efforts targeting Palestinians' land and property. He explained that these actions are part of broader Israeli plans aimed at imposing restrictions on residents, hindering their access to their land and sources of livelihood, and pressuring them to vacate their land and homes.
In the nearby town of Aaba, Ighbariyeh indicated that Israeli forces issued demolition notices to residents in the Ras al-Tawil area. The notices targeted four horse stables, plastic greenhouses, and an inhabited home where a family of seven resides.
In Silat al-Dhahr, Ighbariyeh highlighted that an Israeli court dismissed an objection to demolition notices for 22 homes, which their owners had received approximately a year ago. The court granted them 14 days to file an appeal and renew their objection. These measures are taking place amid continued demolitions, land leveling, and land seizures, despite residents submitting objections and legal documents containing official paperwork.
