Ramallah: Israeli colonists on Tuesday evening torched Palestinian property in Burqa village, east of Ramallah, according to local sources. The colonists attacked the outskirts of the village and set fire to structures, resulting in at least one vehicle catching fire while villagers attempted to confront the attackers.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, colonists' violence against Palestinians and their property is a regular occurrence in the West Bank and is seldom prosecuted by Israeli authorities. Incidents of violence include property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes.
Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are residing in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, which is considered a violation of international law.
