Ramallah: The Palestine Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted hot weather conditions for today, particularly in mountainous areas, with very hot conditions expected in other regions. A slight rise in temperatures will bring them to approximately 4°C above the annual average. The winds will be westerly to northwesterly, light to moderate, occasionally picking up speed, while sea conditions will vary from calm to moderate.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the PMD has indicated that the evening and night will bring pleasant conditions to mountainous areas, though other regions will remain warm. This pattern is expected to persist into Tuesday, with no significant changes in temperatures, which will continue to hover around 4°C above the norm. Winds and sea conditions will remain consistent with today's forecast.
The trend of hot weather is anticipated to continue through Wednesday, with temperatures remaining elevated at 4°C above the annual average. Winds will maintain their westerly to northwesterly direction, with light to moderate speeds, sometimes picking up, and sea conditions will range from calm to moderate.
By Thursday, a minor drop in temperatures is expected; however, they will still be about 2°C above the annual average. The weather will remain hot in mountainous regions and very hot elsewhere, with wind and sea conditions unchanged.
The PMD has issued warnings regarding prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, especially during peak hours from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., advising against lighting fires in areas with abundant dry grass and leaving children or the elderly inside enclosed vehicles.
