Gaza: The central West Bank village of Deir Jarir, east of Ramallah, was attacked by Israeli colonists this evening, sparking confrontations with Palestinian residents who mobilized to defend their community, according to local sources.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, a group of colonists attacked the village and opened live fire toward residents; however, no injuries were reported. The colonists also closed the iron gate installed at the entrance to the village, obstructing the movement of Palestinian residents.
The Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission reported that Israeli occupation forces and colonists carried out 2,030 attacks against Palestinians and their property in August. This included 1,402 attacks by the occupation forces and 628 by colonists. The attacks were primarily concentrated in the governorates of Nablus, Ramallah and Al-Bireh, Hebron, Bethlehem, Jenin, and Jerusalem.
