Gaza: Israeli colonists on Wednesday continued to expand a pastoral outpost near the al-Muhtoosh Bedouin community, adjacent to Khan al-Ahmar, east of occupied Jerusalem. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Jerusalem Governorate reported that colonists began erecting a new fence around the Bedouin community. This action restricts Palestinian inhabitants' movement and limits their access to their lands, paving the way for the expansion of the colonial outpost at the expense of the community's lands.
The Jerusalem Governorate added that this expansion is part of ongoing attacks targeting the Bedouin community, including the cutting of water pipelines. These actions are part of intensified efforts by Israeli occupation authorities and colonists to seize control of the area and push Bedouin communities to leave.
Meanwhile, occupying forces entered the town of Silwad, east of Ramallah, amid colonists' intrusions into several areas east and northeast of the governorate. A significant army force also raided the eastern area of Deir Dibwan, east of Ramallah, accompanied by colonists, amid a heavy military presence.
In the Ramallah governorate, soldiers set up a checkpoint near Taybeh Roundabout, east of Ramallah. Additionally, colonists broke into the Gharraba area, northwest of Sinjil town, conducting provocative acts.
Colonists' violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities. This violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes. Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
