Gaza: Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday continued to ban around 30 Palestinians from accessing their homes in Beit Iksa, northwest of Jerusalem, for the second consecutive week.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Mohammad al-Kiswani stated that the occupation forces have consistently prevented him and other villagers from returning to their homes in the village. There has been no clear justification provided for this ongoing ban.
Al-Kiswani elaborated that the refusal to issue the necessary permits to enter Beit Iksa forces those affected to remain outside the village. This is part of broader restrictions imposed on villagers, which severely limit movement in and out of the area, intensifying their hardships and disrupting their daily lives.
Beit Iksa is isolated by an Israeli military checkpoint and has long been under strict movement restrictions. Entry into the village requires special permits and magnetic cards issued by the occupation authorities. Some residents face denial of entry due to a 'security ban' cited by the authorities. Recently, there have been reports of extended checkpoint closures and further denial of entry to Palestinians trying to return to their homes.
