Northern jordan valley: An Israeli occupation court on Monday rejected appeals to halt the demolition of Palestinian structures in the northern Jordan Valley, according to an activist.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Mutaz Basharat of the Tubas Governorate stated that the occupation authorities dismissed appeals submitted by the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission (CWRC) and Tubas Governorate. These appeals sought to prevent the demolition of residential and agricultural structures owned by eight Palestinians in the region.
Basharat expressed concerns that the occupation authorities are hastening efforts to execute the largest demolition campaign in the Jordan Valley. This initiative is deemed part of a systematic policy aimed at displacing Palestinians from their ancestral lands.
Efforts by Israel and illegal Israeli Jewish supremacist colonists to impose new realities across the occupied West Bank are intensifying. These endeavors include expanding colonial settlement, increasing land seizures, constructing settlements and outposts, building roads, confiscating land, controlling water sources, and imposing growing restrictions on Palestinian movement and land access.
The expansion is noteworthy as Israel's colonial settlement initiatives have traditionally been concentrated in Area C, which remained under full Israeli control post the Oslo Accords. The growing encroachment into Areas A and B poses a significant threat to the geographical continuity between Palestinian cities, towns, and communities.
