Nablus: Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa announced on Wednesday that the Palestinian government is committed to pursuing five specific national priorities aimed at achieving freedom and independence for the Palestinian people. Speaking at the Opening of Nablus Expo 2026, Mustafa emphasized the strategic direction taken by his administration to lay the groundwork for economic and social transformation.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency, Prime Minister Mustafa highlighted that the government has recently enacted the Competition Law and has prioritized national products in government procurement processes. These measures are part of a broader strategy to enhance the economic landscape of Palestine. The government has also developed new systems for industrial licensing and electronic company registration. Additionally, draft laws have been completed to foster investment and encourage public-private partnerships, alongside amendments to the Companies Law.
Mustafa underscored the overarching goal of these initiatives: creating a better investment environment that allows for greater private sector growth and enhances job creation within the Palestinian market. He articulated a vision of moving beyond mere resilience and survival, aiming for robust state-building and economic transformation.
"Our people practice resilience every day, and our duty is to support and empower them to remain, work, and produce," Mustafa concluded, reinforcing the government's commitment to empowering the Palestinian people on their path to independence.
