EU Condemns Escalating Settler Violence in West Bank Village

Brussels: The situation in the West Bank village of Qusra, where families have been trapped inside their homes for over a week due to settler violence, highlights an alarming trend of increased aggression by extremist settlers, which the European Union (EU) has consistently condemned. Incidents of intimidation, harassment, property destruction, and physical harm against Palestinians, aimed at displacing them from their homes, must come to an immediate halt.

According to European Union, the organization reiterates its condemnation of ongoing settler violence and urges Israel to take decisive measures to address the issue and ensure accountability for those responsible for these crimes. The EU emphasizes Israel's obligation under international law to protect the Palestinian population in the occupied territory.

Furthermore, the EU strongly condemns recent statements by Israeli Minister Ben Gvir concerning Gaza and the inflammatory videos posted online. Such inciteful language is deemed unacceptable and should not be ignored. In his capacity as a Minister, the Israeli government holds the responsibility to curb such rhetoric.
