El-alamein: Vice President of the State of Palestine Hussein Al-Sheikh today met with Major General Hassan Rashad, Director of the Egyptian General Intelligence Service, in the Egyptian city of El-Alamein.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency, the meeting was attended by Major General Majed Faraj, Director of the Palestinian General Intelligence Service and member of the Fatah Central Committee, alongside Rawhi Fattouh, President of the Palestinian National Council. This meeting is part of ongoing Egyptian efforts to achieve Palestinian reconciliation.
The discussions focused on the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian Territory and preparations for the upcoming Palestinian elections. Al-Sheikh conveyed the greetings of President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
Participants also addressed the developments in the West Bank and emphasized the importance of unifying national efforts and coordinating joint positions to confront the challenges facing the Palestinian cause at this stage.
