The Atara checkpoint gate is experiencing heavy congestion and strict inspections of vehicles heading out of the Birzeit area, with traffic conditions changing continuously.

According to the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, the number of military checkpoints and iron gates set up by the occupation across the West Bank has exceeded 916, which includes 243 gates erected after October 7, 2023.
