Mediating Countries Condemn Israeli Violations, Urge Adherence to Ceasefire

Gaza: The State of Qatar, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the Republic of Trkiye have expressed strong condemnation of the ongoing Israeli violations in the Gaza Strip. These violations, particularly targeting healthcare facilities and medical infrastructure, have resulted in civilian casualties, including women and children, which the mediators argue constitute a breach of international law. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the mediating countries emphasized the importance of Israel complying with its international obligations and fully upholding its commitments under the ceasefire agreement. The violations are seen as undermining efforts towards the implementation of the agreement's second phase, especially after Hamas and other Palestinian factions announced their acceptance of the roadmap, which includes the confinement of weapons. The mediators warned that continued violations threaten de-escalation efforts and exacerbate civilian suffering in the Gaza Strip. They renewed call s for the protection of civilians and medical facilities, and for the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid and medical supplies. The mediators also urged the international community to exert pressure on Israel to meet its obligations under international law and the ceasefire agreement. They highlighted the importance of adhering to President Trump's peace plan, which he described as a 'historic agreement,' and stressed the need to avoid undermining efforts toward achieving a sustainable de-escalation and a permanent ceasefire that would end humanitarian suffering in the region.
